Sullivan's Island Lighthouse in Gouache - 8x10

from $27.00

The Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse was dedicated in 1962 and was designed to withstand hurricane force winds, something that evidently worked as Hurricane Hugo washed the coastline in 1989. The structure features “daymark” patterns and is visible up to 27 miles off-shore. It was the last major lighthouse to be built on the East Coast of the United States.

This painting features it backlit by a beautiful South Carolina Sunset, with pinks and blues perfect to brighten up any living room or guest house.
